Halo: Combat Evolved, the previous installment of the wild and successful Halo Series introduced a new story on November 9th, 2004; Halo 2. Halo 2 was an immediate success by selling 2.5 million copies on the very first day, with 1.5 of the copies being pre-ordered. With an all new story and Multiplayer, words can barely describe how exciting this game is.

Halo 2's Campaign is difficult to review. It's clearly obvious that when Bungie developed this game, they were planning on creating one last game to finish the story. I say this because the ending of the story is a cliffhanger leaving you with the Master Chief saying "I'm finishing This Fight". The campaign leads you away from so much that Bungie promised us such as the endless battles on Earth.

Early into campaign, Halo 2 starts you off with a brief prologue and background to what happened to the alien forces known as the Covenant at the end of Halo: Combat Evolved. Afterwards, you get to play a whopping 2 levels on earth, that's all. As entertaining and secret withholding as the Earth levels are, they are more than short of promising. Throughout Halo 2, you travel around the Universe fighting the Covenant and the eerie breed of aliens known as the Flood. The mood of Halo 2 is much darker and deeper than Halo as you uncover more secrets and truths. When you return to earth after completing the players campaign around the Universe, you find yourself in the middle of a battle between the Humans and the Covenant. The story then leaves you with Master Chief saying "I'm finishing this fight".

If Campaign was as satisfying as Multiplayer, This game would score a perfect ten. Halo 2 Multiplayer found its way to Xbox Live and it redefined what Online Gaming means. As of June 2006, there has been over 2 Billion matches of Halo 2 recorded and growing! With 11 maps for your enjoyment upon playing multiplayer for the first time, Bungie released 9 more maps for download or purchase in the Multiplayer Map Pack. Altogether, 20 maps make Halo 2 the #1 online Console game without a fight.
